Kate Murray and Rebecca Chandler presented FADGI's new audio digitization performance testing guidelines and a demo of the ADCTest software at ARSC Annual Conference in May 2018 and an extended version at the Audio Engineering Society Conference in June 2018.

Updated January 3, 2017, FADGI: Same acronym, new meaning
While the Working Groups have focused on digitized content, recent projects have broadened the scope to include selected aspects of born digital content. Long known as FADGI, the acronym’s meaning is updated in 2017 from Federal
Agencies Digitization Guidelines Initiative to the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative to reflect this growing area of work.

Updated December 23, 2016, FADGI Guidelines to Carry CC0 1.0 Universal License
As works of the US federal government, FADGI guidelines and documents are in the public domain. Starting in 2017, FADGI publications will carry the CC0 1.0 Universal license
for worldwide use and reuse.
Updated April 15, 2016, Carl Fleischhauer retires from the Library of Congress
The Library of Congress and FADGI members wish Carl Fleischhauer all the best in his retirement, effective April 2016. One of the group's founders and an influential and widely respected leader in the audio-visual community, he will remain
active in the FADGI community and we look forward to continuing to benefit from his unparalleled skills and experience.

This guideline was developed and approved by both working groups. Comparisons of file formats for still-image reformatting, video reformatting, and preservation-oriented treatment of born digital video. For the
reformatting examples, matrices are used to compare formats in terms of about forty factors. For born-digital video, current practices in six federal agencies are described in case histories. The offerings include narrative explanatory
documents and supplementary reports.

April 8, 2013, Performance Impairments Caused by Interstitial Errors: Field Test Report
This is volume one of a two-volume report commissioned by the Audio-Visual Working Group. The aim of this project was to advance user capabilities to test and measure audio digitization systems used in archival or preservation settings.
This effort also produced the Analog-to-Digital Converter Performance Specification and Testing guideline.

The Technical Guidelines for Digitizing Cultural Heritage Materials represents shared best practices for still image digitization followed by agencies participating in the Federal Agencies Digitization Guidelines Initiative (FADGI). This
comprehensive document reflects the current recommendations of the Still Image Working Group and reflects changes that have occurred in the digitization field during the last five years.
